AION 2 Wardrobe: Equip Skins, Extract Gear and Synthesize
Use the official Taiwan wardrobe instructions to preview skins, check extraction costs and compare duplicate synthesis with keeping an appearance.
Use the Wardrobe to select and preview a skin for the equipment slot you want to change. NC Taiwan’s guide separates equipping an appearance, extracting gear for appearances, and consuming duplicates through synthesis. Global NC confirms ESC → Closet as a customization entry, but Taiwan’s quantities and collection-sharing rules must retain their regional scope.

Equip and preview an appearance
- Open the regional Wardrobe/Closet entry. NC’s Global October 5 notice explicitly gives ESC → Closet.
- In the Taiwan guide, use the equipment area for the required armor, weapon or accessory slot.
- Find the collected appearance; use the available slot and grade filters if the list is long.
- Check the character preview and equipped-appearance list before applying or removing a skin.
- If a wanted skin is not collected, inspect the full appearance list and its source rather than purchasing a similarly named item.
Extract spare gear only after checking the cost
The Taiwan guide puts the extraction icon in item information. It reports a Kina cost and possible appearance/enhancement-stone results. Read the selected item and confirmation before proceeding. No exact fee or probability is supplied here, and the guide is not proof that every Global item follows the same return rule.
- Make sure the item is genuinely spare: compare it with equipped gear and any near-term upgrade need.
- Check whether its appearance is already collected and whether an unowned appearance is the actual goal.
- Compare selling, keeping and extracting using the values shown in your current interface.
- If you choose extraction, re-read the item name and displayed cost. Afterward, check the wardrobe and material result before counting a skin as obtained.
Treat synthesis as a random choice
The Taiwan guide describes four excess appearances producing one random appearance, with a chance of a higher grade. A chance is not a promise of an upgrade or of the specific skin you wanted. Keep an appearance you still need instead of treating every duplicate as immediate crafting material.

NC Taiwan’s Wardrobe guide was updated July 6, 2026 and describes collected appearances shared among characters on the same server. It does not establish cross-region/account-wide Global skin sharing, current dye prices, or extraction success rates. The October 5 Global customization notice confirms the Closet entry, not all Taiwan mechanics.
