AION 2 Assassin: Plan the Opening and the Exit
Use the reported stealth opening and fast follow-up without confusing a successful first hit with a safe prolonged engagement.
SPACE4GAMES describes Assassin as dual-dagger burst with stealth, Ambush, Quick Slice and Smoke Bomb for repositioning. Choose an exposed opening and an exit plan; Korean burst rankings do not prove a guaranteed global kill sequence.
Choose a rear opening with an exit
An opening is useful when it reaches the intended target at a useful time. The report describes a class that attacks from hiding and prefers a rear angle, but an opponent’s attention and position can change before you arrive. Plan the destination and the reason for entering before using the opener. A target separated from support is a different decision from attacking the same target inside a protected group.
The exit matters because the guide also describes the danger when timing fails. Smoke Bomb is reported as a disengage and repositioning tool, while Evasion Stance is described around evasion. Keeping a relevant response available can be more useful than spending every action during the first burst. The guide identifies Shadowstep as a Korean Stigma example, so this page does not assume every global character has it or publish a rotation that depends on it.
Track Insignias and critical-hit follow-ups
The linked gaming.tools Global leveling planner supplies a second, newer reference for a starting preset. The named relationships below are its recommendations; compare them with the skills actually unlocked on your character.

| Skill or relationship | Reported purpose | First check |
|---|---|---|
| Savage Roar → Insignia Explosion | Reported Insignia builder and spender | Inspect the target marker |
| Critical hit → Heart Gore | Conditional follow-up | Do not assume every hit triggers it |
| Quick Slice | Reported MP support between attacks | Watch the resource bar |
| Flash Slice / Shadowstrike → Ambush | Rear-position tools and an opener | Keep the target and escape visible |
- Open this class’s linked Global leveling planner and set your character level.
- Enter the build from a new character or its armory-loading option; inspect the proposed Daevanion nodes before spending skill points.
- Compare one proposed skill relationship in a short encounter before copying its whole preset.
This is a fan planner checked October 7. Its level-dependent plan is a reference, and no current damage ranking, automatic macro behavior or complete endgame build was independently tested.
Practise entry, follow-up and withdrawal
- Identify a useful target, its current protection and a route that does not require you to remain in a prolonged unfavorable exchange.
- Read the live stealth and Ambush conditions, then begin only when the opening actually fits those conditions.
- Use a reachable follow-up and inspect the target’s response instead of assuming an opener guarantees the rest of a combo.
- If the target survives or support closes the opening, choose the available reposition or disengage rather than automatically extending the chase.
- Afterward, compare approach, opening condition and exit timing separately to see which part needs practice.

| Situation | Choice | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Useful isolated target and route | Consider the stealth opening | Position supports the reported burst role |
| Target gains immediate support | Reassess before committing | The original opening may have closed |
| Initial burst does not finish the target | Read the next risk before chasing | No kill threshold is established |
| Global kit lacks a Korean Stigma | Use the abilities actually available | Regional examples are not a universal loadout |
Diagnose the opening before changing gear
The September report’s Korean ten-second damage comparison is background, not a timer every global Assassin should use. Nor does the glass-cannon description prove that every fight must end in one burst. A failed attempt may be caused by reaching the wrong target or using the exit too late rather than by insufficient gear. Keep the first practice sequence short enough to understand those decisions. This article offers an opening-and-exit plan grounded in reported tools, with no invented stealth duration, backstab multiplier or tested PvP combo.
SPACE4GAMES September 27, 2026 pre-launch report mixes Launch Scale Test observations and Korean experience. This is an attributed role plan, not a current global damage ranking or gameplay test.
