AION 2 Dungeon Party: Agree on the Roles Before Entry

Build a group for the actual Expedition size and discuss attention, healing and damage responsibilities before copying a regional composition.

Quick answer

The official Japan special site describes Expeditions for up to five players. SPACE4GAMES gives a common Korean tank/Cleric/Chanter/two-DPS example, but that example is a regional role plan rather than a mandatory Global composition.

Assign the responsibilities the Expedition actually needs

A useful invitation starts with the activity and missing responsibility. Asking only for a high damage number can leave a group without someone managing enemy attention or stabilizing allies. The official descriptions of Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Fire Temple and Draupnir establish a five-player Expedition scope in that captured regional marketing page. They do not supply the current entry requirement, matchmaking restrictions or a compulsory class list.

The September class report describes a Korean arrangement with one tank, one Cleric, one Chanter and two damage roles. It also says Gladiator can be an alternative tank in that context. Those are useful discussion points, not proof that every global party must have all those classes. The same author reports that Templar Fury and Gladiator Experienced Counterstrike did not stack in the test; adding both solely for twice the reported buff would therefore be an unsupported assumption.

Prepare the invitation and retry plan

  1. Choose the exact Expedition and read its current group size, entry requirement and available difficulty before inviting.
  2. Assign who will handle enemy attention, urgent healing and damage, using the actual kits the players can bring.
  3. Discuss supplemental support and whether a hybrid role covers the group’s need without assuming it replaces every dedicated responsibility.
  4. Check overlapping buff descriptions if the composition is being chosen specifically for a shared damage effect.
  5. Agree on a regroup and retry plan so a failed first attempt leads to an adjustment rather than the same unexamined lineup.

Review the role that failed

For a regular group or Legion, the same plan can be recorded as roles and availability rather than a claim about guild stat perks. A schedule that includes useful responsibilities is a practical organizational choice, but the captured evidence does not establish a current Legion level, passive bonus tree or entry discount. Review which responsibility failed after an attempt and change that part first. This page is separate from each class’s own combat guide because it answers how several players agree on one dungeon task.

Dungeon-size discrepancy

The April global announcement describes four-player dungeons and eight-player raids; the NC Japan special page labels its named expeditions for up to five players. Different activity labels, dates or regions may explain this, but the discrepancy is not resolved here. Check the actual activity lobby before forming a party.

Make the party invitation specific to a mode

The newer Global fan database lists Urugugu Canyon Exploration for 2–5 players. That is a record for a named mode, so use it to narrow the old four-versus-five-player discussion; it does not turn five into the rule for every dungeon or raid.
